About the Owner

The President and Owner of Able Assistants, Norma Murray, has been an Administrative Assistant for over 20 years.  Norma has the ability and the personality to work well with all types of individuals; from the most easy going to the most difficult. Norma also has the ability to think outside of the box in order to solve problems, resulting in solutions to benefit every person involved.

Norma began her administrative career in banking, working for Heritage Bank for almost 10 years; she quickly moved up the ranks by the requests of the executive staff within the bank. Computers were just beginning to be a part of everyone's life within the banking system at this time; she developed the ability and became the "go-to girl" for computer issues.  Along with many other departments of the bank, Norma has worked for the Executive V.P., the V.P., the President, and the C.E.O. of the bank.

After a short break in working to begin her family, Norma returned to work as an Accounts Payable Clerk for Ferrara Pan Candy.  Ferrara Pan had just installed a new computer system, Norma helped them convert the files needed and received a considerable amount of praise from both clients and company employees on her eye for detail, as well as her ability to get the job done in a timely manner.  Norma also worked in the Accounts Receivable Department at Ferrara Pan Candy.

The opportunity came along to begin assisting people in other states along with those in state. Being that this "type" of career had not fully developed, Norma took on the task in her own way. Being able to work very well on a computer Norma found this as an easy, fun career.  Business owners and employees needed assistance in travel arrangements, bookkeeping, document preparation, gift purchasing, and every day life issues.  Norma was able to complete these tasks, removing the stress and allowing the time for the business owners and employees to handle other work related issues. Everyone won in this situation.

After 7 years, Norma decided that it was time to begin her virtual assistant service, Able Assistants, in order to help business owners and companies all over the world who need someone who can handle all types of people and all types of tasks.  Companies and people alike can save money and receive quality customer service through the efforts of a virtual team that possesses the clear qualifications that Norma displays.
